Took my M5 to the dealer for some routine maintenance and they gave me a 335d loaner. I one word, this car is "amazing". It doesn't sound like a diesel and it doesn't acclerate like a diesel. The 335d is scary fast on the highway. Even in 6th gear the massive torque output allows the speedo to seamlessly rip through the numbers on its way to triple digits. Good luck adhering to the break-in recommended top speed of 93mph.It's like driving a fast sports car that gets 30 mpg. Diesel fuel is a little more expensive here than gasoline, but it still is too early to see what my final mpgs will be in spirited driving. This is a VERY IMPRESSIVE sports sedan and shows the future for the diesel looks very bright! This car has the M-sport package which makes it handle like it's glued to the road and eliminates the top speed limiter. I also like the shift paddles on the steering wheel and of course that wonderful heated steering wheel.
This 335d M- sport is similar to the M5 in that it's a car that is fun to drive.
