Texas BMW Dealership Destroyed by Hail

MCALLEN - Nearly 100 percent of a car dealership's inventory was destroyed by the overnight storms. With vehicle's costs averaging $50,000, the losses are adding up at the Bert Ogden BMW in McAllen.

And that's just inventory damage. The building itself was pelted with hail. Workers are sweeping up broken glass and the hail that remained.
The management says they'll be getting a shipment of emergency inventory. Meanwhile, they're waiting for insurance adjusters to get a total cost of the damage. Other businesses in McAllen are closed as they begin their clean-up efforts. Much of Starbucks on North 10th Street was not spared by last night's storm. Hail pelted the front of the building. Some windows were broken. Many of the businesses affected by the storm are expected to reopen later this afternoon.
