Brian's 200,000 mile 2000 M5

Brian writes "I purchased my 2000 M5 in the spring of 2002 when it had 14,000 miles on it.  It's been my daily driver since then.  I've replaced the water pump, the thermostat three times, all the engine hoses, the CP sensor, the serpentine belt at 125,000 miles, the fuel pump and relay at 125,000 miles, the clutch and flywheel at 125,000 miles, but it still has the original rod bearings, VANOS, and chain guides.  I use Castrol 10W-60W oil and change it every 4000 miles.  I'm on my 7th set of tires and currently have Contis on it.  I replaced the brakes and battery three years ago.  I replace the spark plugs myself every 60,000 miles and replace the MAFs at the same time.  My M5 is 100% stock and I plan on keeping this car forever, or at least another 200,000 miles.  There is a slight amount of rust at the driver's side rear jack point and the bottom edge of the driver's side rear passenger door and I replaced the front bumper, otherwise the paint and body is 100% original.  If you include the tires, maintenance, and oil changes, my yearly costs with this car have been about $4000/year, excluding gas."
